چکیده
Thermally sprayed ceramic coatings are applied for the protection of surfaces that exposed mainly to wear, high temperatures, and corrosion. In recent years, great interest has been garnered by spray processes with submicrometric nanometric feedstock materials, due refinement structure improved coating properties. This paper compares microstructure tribological properties alumina using conventional atmospheric plasma spraying (APS), various methods use finely grained suspension feedstocks, namely, (SPS) high-velocity oxy-fuel (S-HVOF). Furthermore, plasma-sprayed Al2O3 have deposited radial axial (A-SPS) injection. The results showed all suspension-based demonstrated much better wear resistance than powder-sprayed ones. S-HVOF allowed deposition most dense homogeneous coatings. Dense-structured low porosity (4 vol.%) good cohesion metallic substrate, containing a content ?–Al2O3 phase (56 very rate (0.2 ± 0.04 mm3 × 10?6/(N?m)), were produced method. mechanism included adhesive mode supported fatigue-induced material delamination. Moreover, presence debris tribofilm was confirmed. Finally, coefficient friction in range between 0.44 0.68, highest values being recorded APS

Effect of TiO2 addition on the microstructure and nanomechanical properties of Al2O3 Suspension Plasma Sprayed coatings
Alumina-titania coatings are widely used in industry for wear, abrasion or corrosion protection components. Such layers are commonly deposited by atmospheric plasma spraying (APS) using powder as feedstock. In this study, both Al2O3 and Al2O3-13 wt% TiO2 coatings were deposited on austenitic stainless steel coupons by suspension plasma spraying (SPS). Two commercial suspensions of nanosized Al2...
متن کاملEffect of Carbide Particle Size on the Microstructure, Mechanical properties, and Wear Behavior of HVOF-sprayed WC-17% Co Coatings
This study investigates the effect of carbide particle size on the microstructure, mechanical properties, and abrasive wear resistance of WC-17%Co HVOF-sprayed coatings. The characteristics of WC-1, WC-2, and WC-3 coatings with carbide sizes of 1 µm, 0.9 µm, and 0.5 µm, respectively, were also investigated. WC-1 coating experienced the maximum carbon loss of 42%, while WC-2 and WC-3 coatings un...

Study of Wear Behaviour of Hvof and Cold Sprayed Coatings on Boiler Steels
In this study two commonly used steels in boiler plants, i.e. (SAE-213) T-22 and SA516 (Grade-70) were coated with different thermal spray processes namely HVOF and cold spray. The coating powder used was made up of NiCrTiCRe powder. The performance of the coated as well as uncoated material was investigated using a pin-on-disc machine [Model: Wear and Friction Monitor Tester TR-20], supplied b...
